Trip to Bhitorkonika

 If you are a nature lover then Bhitorkonika is the perfect place for you inside India. It is located in the state of Orissa.


My experience

We went to Bhitorkonika in the off season that is summer but still we were quite lucky. Since we went during off season there were no crowd at all. There we did boat riding in the early morning and we were really lucky to see 3 to 4 giant sized crocodiles among them the biggest crocodile 🐊 was 22 feet. Mainly Bhitorkonika is famous for crocodiles and mangrove trees. The river was enshrouded with mangrove trees on both the sides. We were also very lucky to see some of Bhitorkonika’s rare birds like the Mangrove pitta. Near our resort there were many monkeys and birds We also saw a wild boar. We saw thousands of deer 🦌 🦌 🦌 …It was just like living in the heart of a forest 🌳 🌳 🌳 . The air was so fresh and free from pollution.

One of my most memorable trips was the trip to Gir forest. It is one of the most popular places to visit in Gujarat.  It is a large natural sanctuary with about: 674 lions 75,000 to 65,000 deer  langur monkeys jackals leopards antelope crocodiles over 300  species  of birds. We went on a jungle safari inside the gir forest…We set of at dawn when it was all dark and very cold…slowly we saw the sun coming up. It was a dense forest 🌳 🌳 🌳 . Our jeep was almost open…the top was not covered. We were feeling really scared 😱 . We were really lucky to see an entire family of lions 🦁 🦁, the king 👑 of jungle. We also saw other animals like deer 🦌 🦌 , a jackal which was very rare to see and nilgais.
